On March 9th, Michael Bratakos, the president of Technological Educational Institute of Athens, visited Zhejiang Ocean University with his delegation. President Wu Changwen and vice president Zhang Yuanlong attended the meeting. Deans from School of Naval Architecture and Mechanical-electrical Engineering, Faculty of humanities & education, School of Economics and Management, and International Institute also participated in the meeting.
At the meeting, Wu Changwen and Michael Bratakos made a speech respectively, the two sides expressed their willingness to continue in-depth exchanges. Wu Changwen proposed undergraduate exchange and welcome the graduates from TEI of Athens for master-degree study in ZJOU. Michael Bratakos agreed with the recommendations, hoping ZJOU would arrange some Chinese courses for them in addition to English courses, as well as welcome ZJOU to establish Confucius Institute in the TEI of Athens.
The two sides signed the cooperation memorandum, reaching a consensus on student and staff exchange in the shipbuilding engineering, tourism management, and marine cultural heritage protection.
On March 10th, Michael Bratakos visited our school humanities Museum, library, history museum, ship navigation simulation room, and ecological specimen room etc..
